Again, Smia users met to discuss pitfalls and according solutions within strategic workforce planning process. This year, the HR Practice Group was held in the premises of Bausparkasse Schwäbisch-Hall. We've announced 2014 as an exciting year for Dynaplan, and are now happy to be able to provide you with new products, innovations and features.

This year we are looking forward to highlights such as Smia release 1.2, Practice Groups regarding both, HR and Controlling, and the 4th Smia Convention in November, this time at Lufthansa.

Another year is coming to an end, and we can look back on many successful events and note good progress on our technology, methodology, and processes. This newsletter is about summarising the latest events, and giving an outlook on further milestones. We hope you will enjoy the reading. For the 3rd year running, we welcomed Smia users and business practitioners at the Dynaplan Convention to exchange views on innovative, impactful and intriguing planning approaches. The venue this year was the BMW World in Munich. The central theme of the event was the KISS principle, according to which the complex world needs to be mapped simply, but smart.

Planning models built on the Dynaplan Smia platform act as a link between the observed past and potential futures. Registered data represent an important resource in validating models for planning and decision-making, initializing models with up-to-data information, and determining parameters influencing the future.

We are now improving our connectivity and becoming certified for the SAP BW-XMLA interface.

Furthermore, we want to share insights from various customer solutions and support you with tips and tricks for working with Smia.
